I need to say to my friends that I am no longer able to be a Mod nor frequent poster on the forum. Due to poor health and being almost 80 I just don't have the energy. It has been a wonderful "many years" and I wish our new admin. all the best .

I want to take a moment to thank you for all the years you’ve spent moderating this forum. You’ve done far more than keep a website running, you’ve created a place where gun dog owners could find guidance, reassurance, and a sense that they weren’t figuring it all out alone.

Every one of us remembers that first time we unclipped the leash and watched a young dog take off, suddenly realizing we might be in over our heads. For many, that moment is what led us here. Even when the questions slow down over the years, the many hours still spent digging through old threads and advice never lose their value. Those archives have helped shape countless dogs and handlers who will never even know how much of that wisdom came from the steady hand guiding this community.

You’ve kept the conversation respectful, practical, and pointed in the right direction, and that’s no small thing. The service you’ve given to this group, and to the dogs and owners who’ve benefited from it, means more than can be measured.

Thank you for your time, your patience, and your commitment. You’ve made a real difference.

There aren't enough words to give thanks to Sharon for all of her efforts here on behalf of GDF - she took to being a Mod like a duck takes to water!'

Sharon, you have been simply amazing in the active oversight for all of the postings on the Forum, keeping things civil and bringing great ideas to the table. Between you and SLISTOE the day-to-day Forum traffic has flowed smoothly for years.

Some might not realize that of the three Mods here you've been on the Forum since 2008, SLISTOE since 2007, and Fourseasons (me) since 2006, along with other die-hard members who joined here in the early days of Gun Dog Forum and have provided so much great advice and conversation, it's like having bird dog pen-pals for decades (does anyone use that expression anymore? LOL).

Sharon, your special support as a Mod will be greatly missed! I'm 'of an age' as well and will likely be retiring as a Mod soon too. It's been a great ride!'

Sharon- you're one of the members that I recall from when I was first getting started with bird dogs over a decade ago now. Thanks for all your help throughout the years and best wishes with your health!
